A poem about the early days of my marriage

I can see it clearly,
like it was yesterday
You and I parked, on Augustus Avenue
sitting in the front seat,
of our old yellow Grenada
The moonlight danced
around the green of your Iris,
as we sat and talked for hours,
about anything and everything
We could have gone inside,
but preferred just to stay there
“Not just yet” you said
Lingering in the happiness,
and neither of us knowing,
what an adventure this would become
