This is about love's loss and inner turmoil.poem does not rhyme.
"Wasted Memories"

the glass shatters below her feet.
suspended into the air,
she knows it's going to be your fault.

you are going to push too hard,
speak too loud,
strong enough to break her fragile wings.

trust is not given freely,
it is earned over long periods of time.
trust is thin like blood, it drains from the heart in 2.5 seconds.

you see that death by love lose is the worst imaginable feeling.
everything seeps outta the skin,
thoughts of once upon a time turn into memories of regret.

You learn that love is not your true friend.
Pain and Jealousy are now your only allies.
Warm kisses on cold nights never existed,
It was only a lie that you held too close.

Giving it up despite your need to push forward,
You try to understand where she was coming from,
What she was trying to tell you.
You re-read all the writings that she wrote on the bare walls,
praying in vein to uncover the true meaning to why she left you.

Realizing to yourself that it is truely over,
You hang your head in defeat.
Defeated because your lover was not well,
To sad to carry on in this cruel world.

Either way, you adored her.
That despite all her wrongs,
You could always come home and bathe in the light of her love.

Life passes by too quickly,
Like the changing of the seasons.
You compare death to the falling of the orange october leaves,
Beautiful but short.

Wanting to hold her tightly to your bare chest,
You close your eyes and hum along to the melody of sorrow playing over and over in your head.
