poeple who try to pull you down
Wings spread wide across the sky,
searching 'round with horrid eyes.
They circle, circle over head,
embracing me with breathless dread.

Steadily i stumble through,
while they circle the wild blue.
Should i fumble off my feet,
they wait to pounce upon my meat.

To rip an' rend my leather flesh,
their predatory an' rapacious,
voracious vulgar appetites,
whetted by my languid life.

Long they lure me while they lurk,
for my final breath an' jerk.
Yet i walk through weary days,
holding vulture's beaks at bay.
