A Torn Relationship

The knife was plunged repeatedly,
Often in back, mostly in my heart.
Undoubtedly I reciprocated,
Although I can’t remember how.

The winds of change blew our way,
We will never reconcile.
Something awesome made us work,
Although I can’t remember now.
