About wanting
I saw a pretty spot today,
I imagined you were there,
Yet I knew deep down,
We would never share,
Would never hold,
This pretty spot,
Just the way I wished.

Whenever I read a poem,
Or hear a song,
And I think of sharing it with you,
I know deep down,
It will never be,
We will never hear the music,
Just the way I wished.

Wishing, wanting, craving,
Will get me no where,
Dwelling on what could be,
Leaves me dried and parched,
Thirsting for a drink,
I can never have.

Just the way I wished.
