A poem I wrote a few years back while kind of depressed. About a suicide for love. Kinda.
Waiting, and watching,
From the shadows.
Who he is,
No one really knows.

Although he’s just
A normal guy.
He’s distant and lonely;
He wants to die.

He’s tired of waiting,
For his life to go right,
He’s made up his mind,
This ends tonight.

With his finger on the trigger,
And the barrel to his head,
In less than half an hour,
This guy will be dead.

The only thing,
That can save him now,
Is the appearance of love,
Somewhere, somehow.

Just two miles away,
It suddenly hits her.
She does love him;
She does for sure.

She knows she loves him,
But it’s too late.
For this young man
Has accepted his fate.

As the bullet begins
To penetrate his brain,
He feels his life
Begin to drain.

Although he’s just
A normal guy,
Tonight for Shirley,
He’s going to die.

His final thoughts
Started with her.
Now however,
He thought of -
