A POETIC TRIBUTE TO THE SIOUX
A Dreamcatcher sig gifted to me.

Thunder spirits hear my prayer
Lead me to peace, anywhere
Carry me away to where I am free
Give me back my dignity

Thunder spirits, let them feel your wrath
Let my wandering feet find their path
Give me back what was once our home
Again let me see the buffalo roam

Thunder spirits, give me what is due
Hear the prayer of this Sioux
Like a dream catcher, sift out the bad
Give my people back what we once had

Thunder spirits, this is much to ask
It won’t be an easy task
My prayer is for everlasting peace
A chance to regain what was lost to me
