Written for a contest.
My heart is open, blooming full,
A violet in lazy spring;
My soul is like the honey sun
That warms the waters love can bring.

The cupids throw their arrows straight;
They shower down around my head
As in the verdant meadow soft
I let my tranquil body spread.

My eyes behold a cotton form
Suspended far above the ground;
It dances with the wind, and then
Disperses fast, without a sound.

I close my eyes so I can feel
The breezes lift my spirits high
And when they get to Paradise,
My heart sings out a little sigh.

I have a dream as I lay there:
Reclining in a field of green,
The sun falls on my beaming face.
The wind's song leaves my soul serene.

When I awake, I realize
The dream the breeze had granted me
Was not a dream at all; 'twas an
Extension of reality.

My body calm like Easter rain,
My bliss remains my sole regard,
A joy that comes from this alone:
An afternoon in Heav'n's backyard.
