This poem is about my dad who died when I was little.
You're not here to be my dad,
you cheer me up when I become sad.
Your voice I can hear all around,
with you face appearing behind the clouds.
You're not here to kiss me on the head,
sweet dreams my ear goodnight,
I watched youi figure move out of sight.
You're not here to keep me warm,
you held me tight all through the storm.
You told me everything is going to be alright,
the thunder and linghing just got into a fight.
You're not here to be a loving friend,
I know you would be here until the very end.
If heaven had a phine I'd wait for the ring,
to talk about our most precious things.
You're not here to watch me grow,
to keep me safe from the world unknown.
If only you could see me now,
you wuold smile and be very proud.
You're not here to lend an ear,
to take my hand and wipe my tears.
I can feel you presence its all so near,
it keeps me safe from the world of fears.
You're not here to tell me what to say,
to help me out when I lose my way.
You are my bright shining star,
where ever I am, there you are.
You're not here to lift me up when I fall,
to lead me away from the concrete wall.
You can't fix my pain that I have inside,
since the day came that we had to divide.
You're not here to be my guide,
to lead me out from the world I hide.
The path that you have chose for me to follow,
is hidden far beneath my sorrow.
I'm not able to be daddy's little girl,
so we could dance and have a twirl.
I know your with me each and everyday,
because you never go to gar a stray.
