A short, simple poem that expresses those memories that can hurt the very most.
Those Memories


Don’t dwell upon a painful past.
Don’t even shed a tear-
Bad memories should never last,
So do not hold them dear.

Don’t let them eat you up inside,
Nor tear you from limb to limb.
Instead, why don’t just set them aside,
And let the good ones in?

Say goodbye right here and now,
And release those thoughts that hurt you.
It’s time to make an official vow,
So those memories will desert you.
