...Yet still inside was an invisable streak of hope...
Hope

I left behind my dreams along a desert highway,
I waited ‘til my soul began to fly away.
I spilled my pitcher of faith into the Dead Sea,
Watching life, float away from me…

I had given up without a doubt,
Feeling empty from the inside out.
I was enclosed in my own bleakness,
With nothing left in me, but weakness.

Dry mouthed and dreary eyed,
Forgotten essence and vacant pride.
Hollow tears trickle down,
In a puddle of sorrow, they slowly drown.

Yet still deep down, was that streak of hope,
I knew for this there was no need to grope-
For once again the sun would shine bright,
To lead the way and clear the night.

It was time for a bad past to be forgotten,
For that last bit of hope, not to rotten.
So I shut my eyes, then opened wide,
No more pain I felt inside.

All new dreams flood my head,
A spark of faith begins to spread.
An all new me is here today,
And may I say, I’m here to stay.
