a dr.seuss look at a mature and unique idea.
It doesn’t make sense nor does it fit
All it does is fall, still she loves it

I can fall too ya’know
Better even than what Zeus can throw

Alas, my barefooted twirling beauty comes near
Clouds like chess pieces move to the rear

Rain drop troops secure the line
To keep us together
She and I

She danced and played while I stayed
Right next to her in our precipitous parade

Falling down from far above
Thousands of droplets, all making love

Then along came fatigue and all of his grief
She grew tired and became quite weak

I was shocked, appalled and jealous to see
That she even thought of going inside and leaving me

How could this happen? I would not have this!
I poured even harder to prevent such madness

I kept her outside and safe with me
All the while she stay there dwindling

She knew my jealous anger was a product of love
A love so deep and hard that it caused a flood

It was no surprise
When the water began to rise
My dear sweet lovely
My dear demise

Weak and tired and almost dead
She could not keep the water from below her head

She could no longer flail nor could she kick
So down down, down she went
