Even taller than Edith Sitwell.
Lady

                                                Ottawa, October 12, 2006.

This tall, tiptoeing, graceful creature
Surrounds me with her elegant thighs;
Exposes her smooth, black, sculpted belly
To my fascinated eyes.

Her fragile femininity
Almost, for a moment, seems
To rival that of Dame Edith,
Mistress of my purest dreams.

Her name is "Maman", but nevertheless,
One could not resist those tapering legs,
No matter how many she may possess,
Were it not for that ghastly clutch of eggs!

Note: There is a photograph of this lady accompanied by a portrait of Dame Edith Sitwell in the album,
 Pictures. Mostly connected to my poems.  (E)
Selected photographs.
