A poem about chasing love

Laughter and tears, hopes and fears
Wishing, wanting still, for just a day, not to feel
Why do I love so deep; why do I play to keep
Always chasing, never facing the battle that I lost
So I keep trying, only lying
Believing there is a chance, wanting to enhance
The opportunity to have a unity with you
But I'm dreaming so I keep skeaming
Of a way to make you mine
I should retreat, accept defeat
How foolish I've become
Can't I see, it will never be
We will never be one
But I keep lying so I keep trying
to make you mine
