A poem about teenage life and the pain and anguish that you can encounter during that time
She smiles a fleeting smile that tells of tomorrow,

The hope of a day that can bring her less sorrow,

A tear on a cheek blushing rose petals and fire,

Eyes burned out long ago, and with it took her desire.

Dark Lashes that frame eyes that have seen too much,

The pain and the memory portrayed in every touch,

The distant feel of his hand burned in her flesh,

She can never be rid of his tormenting caress.

So now it’s time to shut out all that pain,

Never to re-live all that hurt again,

The glinting metal that holds the promise of demise,

A world that can no longer hold any surprise,

Holding it high for a prayer of quick release,

And then it slides into its human sheath with ease,

Crimson regret falling all around,

As she finds her final resting-place there on the ground.
