Cosmic phenom comes to earth
Firefall of the star system Cereton alerted the watchers.
No one cared so they slept again.I saw my Grandmother turn over and close her eyes.
Grandmother was so old and always tired.
I slipped into the watchers chair and tuned in tightly to the falling stars.
Glorious glorious brilliance!
I gasped in wonder.
How could one ever become inured to such beauty?
One red giant filled the screen .It was almost too bright to bear even with the filtering system.
I watched it split apart and become 6 distinctive equal entities.
Then to my amazement each part grew wings!
I rubbed my eyes and looked again.
Sure enough, the six parts of the red star were flying off in different directions.
I yelped and started shaking my Grandmother.
She mumbled something in her sleep and started snoring.
I tried again but now the winged stars were gone.
I knew she wouldn't believe me.
I fine tuned the viewer and searched the distant skies .
Nothing!
I had to know what happened to them and what they were.
I contacted the other three watchers but they all were sleeping.
All were ancient and there had been no threats or changes in the universe
for decades.
Surely there would be some record of what had happened.
I scrolled back and reviewed the scene.Yes there was the red star.
I slowed it down to watch it again.
There was the split but then the six parts just burst apart......no wings.
Yet I was sure of what I saw.
My mother had been a seer and I knew I had the gift .
Somehow I had been able to pick up on something the equiptment couldn't see.
What could it mean?
Were those things a threat to our planet Earth?

When Grandmother awoke I told her what I had seen.
She did not disparage my words but she simply said it was probably
a symbolic vision. She told me that the meaning would become clear to me at some
future time.

That night I woke to a flapping sound against my window pane.
I pulled back my curtain to see a red star creature beating it's wings
frantically and screaming a horrible silent scream outside my room.
I screamed and ran and hid behind my bed.
After a few moments I peeked over the blankets to see if it was still there.
It was.
Something black and huge was behind it trying to drag it away from my window.
I jumped across the bed and threw open the window.
The black thing howled and flew away.

The red creature grabbed me and dragged me out the window and up into the night sky.
I lost my breath and could not scream.
I fainted as we soared ever higher into the moonlight.

Something sweet and juicy was on my tongue.A taste unknown to me but luscious .
I woke to music and candlelight or something similar to that gentle glow.
"The Earth is gone ."a voice said very quietly in my left ear.
"We chose you as a souvenir,a keepsake ,if you will.
You appreciated the beauty of our birth and you were deeply interested in us.
We therefore are interested in you."

The room was filled with glowing orbs like a thousand colored fireflies.

"These are our children.Someday they too will grow and fall in a wondros Starstorm of life such as you were privileged to see. Will you stay with us or do you choose to end your brief life here and now?It is your decision."

I was frozen in fear and disbelief.Surely this was another vision.
I stood up and looked around.Where was this place?

I coughed and said,"Where is my Grandmother?Where am I? I want to go home!"

The lights all moved away from me and the voice whispered
"Don't be afaid. You were not one of them. You did not belong there.
They are all gone now.The black ones....the Dark Angels have finally
won.The planet has been given over to the Essence of Evil.
It was with great difficulty that we saved you.

You are the last and best of the planet Earth .

The tiny orbs settled on my shoulders and hovered around my face
I felt my body melt into the light.

"Will you stay with us ?"the voice whispered .

"Yes ",I thought and I knew as I became a part of the cloud of stars,
floating brightly beside the others that I was home at last.
