Having trouble sleeping? I am
Insomnia has its hold on me.
When breakfast comes too damn early.

Why can't I sleep in my bed at night?
Maybe what's coming gives me a fright.

Lying in bed; give my body rest.
Sand man won't listen to my request.

Why can't I sleep, why can't I dream?
Why won't slumber be in the scheme?

Time ticks away of what night remains.
Alarm just went off; my dreams refrain.

Insomniacs just lie on their backs.
Try to justify not being a quack.

Still I get no rest to comfort me.
Insomnia has its grip on me.
