I am trying a new (to me) style.
The snowflakes came slowly floating
on the morning of the 27th of November.
Enriched earth received her magical coating,
while the wind sounded her soft purr.

On the morning of the 27th of November,
dad started cooking; yams, turkey, and all that.
While the wind sounded her soft purr,
I looked for my runner sled, mittens, hat.

Dad started cooking; yams, turkey, and all that,
mixed and fried hotcakes on the griddle.
I looked for my runner sled, mittens, hat,
clothes snug because I had grown just a little.

Mixed and fried hotcakes on the griddle,
mouthwatering goodness before Thanksgiving dinner.
Clothes snug because I had grown just a little.
Hot breakfast before sledding; always a winner.

Mouthwatering goodness before Thanksgiving dinner.
I wish the other kids would awaken,
hot breakfast before sledding, always a winner.
"Dad can you come out before you start baking?"

I wish the other kids would awaken.
The snowflakes came slowly floating.
"Dad can you come out before you start baking?"
Enriched earth received her magic coating.

Snow is made for enjoying when you are four.
