love after death.
I will never forget the first time we locked eyes,
No breathing, no conscience, just butterflies.
You kissed me before I could tell you my name,
Now five years have past and our love’s still the same.

Within days of our first kiss you had become my life,
Then two years later I made you my wife.
Now we are together till death do us part,
Religiously trusted to take care of my heart.

Night after night you fall asleep in my arms,
There’s no need to wake up, ignore the alarms,
I could lie here for centuries, just watching you sleep,
So beautifully sound, so peacefully deep.

But one day my dear, we will have to face death,
And in sync we can draw our terminal breath,
We will start our new life, beneath breathtaking blue skies,
Immortality, sunshine, and butterflies.
