Differences are BEAUTIFUL!
There is a single yellow rose
Laying in a bed of red
What is it doing
In such a beautiful alluring bed

Yellow is a different color
Seprate from all the rest
When it comes down to popularity
It doesn't pass the test

Its' florescent color can hurt your eyes
When entering from the dark
Emerging from the shadows
Quickly leaving its' mark

It can camouflage the Savanna
With predators hiding in its' mist
Fear curling inside us
Making our stomach twist

It covers the Sahara
With its' moorage and all the heat
The humidity and the sticky air
Causes burning of the feet

Yet yellow does have some good
Within its' simple flaws
Every color is unique
It is written in the laws

Yellow holds the privilege
Of coloring our sun
It hues smiling faces and daffodils
Its brightness stands for fun

It can support cancer
With a bracelet wore on arm
In a life saving hospital
It is used to reduce alarm

It symbolizes friendship
And the continuance of life
It brings happiness to the world
And cuts sadness with a knife

Yellow has strength
It illuminates with power
That is what makes it special
This little tiny flower

So there it sits in a bed of red
As passing people turn up their nose
For they cannot see what is so great
