A Christmas Poem
Can you hear their whispering
Their illuminating glow?
As the dying grass is blanketed
With that newly fallen snow.

The flakes all hold a secret,
There’s no place they haven’t been.
And if you listen hard enough
You’ll hear it now and again

“We’re here for that warming shiver” they whisper,
“That the season sends up your spine,
We define the glory of Christmas,
We grant those sparks their shine!”

The whole world glistens with shimmering white,
There is no branch that’s left untouched.
The stars may shine with all their might,
Yet their attempt is never enough.

For who can overcome the glory,
That nature has bestowed upon our land?
Have you ever seen anything as exquisite as this?
Such purity, so beautiful, so grand..

Let it coat our yards and trees..
Leave our homes and hearts a glow.
And never just throw a passing glance
At the newly fallen snow…
