Love,eternity,soulmate

In a bright flash of light you appeared.
Arriving so quickly that for the blink of an eye would disappear.
I stand in total amazement of your power, your beauty.
The intensity of your heat only drawing me near.
As you stand before me, a wonder to behold.
Your brightness and wonder I yearn to hold.
Dare I get close enough for the slightest of touch?
Touching you would be to touch a God.
An eruption of explosive energy, intensity that would shower down and surround me.
Would I burn up to the center of my soul or would I have eternal life, love and joy?
You’ve given me wings to flySoaring softly, silently through your bright white light
Bathing in the warmth that surrounds me when you are near, Though I can not touch,
I feel your presence. It engulfs me, filling my heart with such love that it will surely explode
Fear and doubt attempt to intrude
Warning that a thing of such brilliant glory cannot burn so brightly forever
That I am small and weak and can not hold such tremendous energy.
To do so will take all that I have, all that I amMind, body, soul….
I swat them away and continue bathing in your glory knowing that
A shooting star is rare
I will bask in the light and love for as long as the smallest flicker of light remains
Grateful for each gift, every stolen moment.
For, after the light and heat have gone
You will be with me and I will still see your beauty.
Your light and heat burned into my heart forever
As I look at the hardest, roughest remains
Perhaps the most beautiful of all
The piece of metal that was forged with that heat
Stronger than anything that dares to test or attempt to break.
Your surface now shiny and cold
Still reflecting the memory to me
Still bathing me in that bright light.
Still warming me and lifting my soul.
The years pass by almost as quickly as you came
I have held onto your long trail of light
Flying through time and space
Enjoying the bright glowing trail we have left in time.
My eyes now shrouded with age
My heart beats, perhaps not so strong or fast
My body frail and weak
And still with my last breath
I see and feel my shooting star
Blazing through the heavens
