Inspired by my loving yet draining significant other.
QUICKSAND


Drawn into those dark pools of quicksand,
no way out, no escape.
Entrapped and enchanted, no struggle,
only acceptance of fate.
Cool and soothing to my hot tired skin,
I got lost in the ecstacy.
Sinking deeper, welcoming the inevitable,
no need for sympathy.
I invited and welcomed him.
