A mother reflects on her relationship with her daughter, present and future.
When I look at you
I see me
And all of the things you may be

In your eyes
I’m a hero
Some day you’ll think I’m less than zero

As years go by
The tides will turn
Hard life lessons you will learn

With each lesson
And thought you sow
You’re mind and body, they will grow

In my eyes
You have a life to live
With so many opinions and treasures to give

I’ll take my turn
Accepting both loath and love
Knowing you are my precious gift from above
