A poem about being sad and depressed and having to go through the motions of life.
Going through the motions
second by second,
Refusing to look ahead
afraid I might not like what I see

I smile,
eyes bland and lifeless
grin fake and about to crack
face emotionless,
but I am still smiling

Grace to grass
I'm dead inside
Held in limbo
Happiness all gone
Tears of sorrow
I'm dead inside

I'm still smiling
but only my mouth is smiling.
