Written October 14, 2006. A poem about being hurt and not having anyone to turn to.
I stared at my phone tonight
Many numbers left and right
Tom, Dick, Mary, Lucy
Francis, James, Betty, and Dwight
“Hi, are you there?” Tom, I tried
“Sorry, I’m busy.” Tom replied
Then I rang Mary
And prayed with my might
That she will answer
Before I cried
Ring ring the phone rang
Blink blink the light
“Doot” came reality when the call died
Next I tried Betty whose room is lit bright
“Sorry I’m not in” pretty Betty denied
Finally I called James, my shining knight

Not a word from him
To make things alright
Tonight is the night
I
finally
died.
