A poem about strength, dedicated to the sea.
It echoed
I answered
With stormy soul

Ebbs of spring waves sought your name
I carved it on a pebble
Tossed to the sea

So you could always follow
The blue
With or without the shipwreck of me

Poseidon rewarded my legs with a tide
To mingle, to soothe
Ablutions in my mind

Sandy winds tousled, berating the calm
The Blue whispered promises
In melancholy arms

Your wisdom trickled a warm embrace
As the sun beat me more
Kindly than I

Drifting, foetal, with faces towards the sky
Yours was the heat
That kissed me once more

So weak yet
Five limbed
I swam for the shore
