My view of the fight we endure within ourselves
Stuck doing life in a prison of sin.
A constant struggle to win the fight.
The body wanting to do wrong,
the mind saying do what's right.

Temptations set before you
like dinner on the table.
The urge is strong but,
the mind is unable.

Always testing you
to come his way.
It's an easy thing to do,
but you hesitate to stray.

A raging war in our heads,
good versus evil ongoing.
Are they wrong or are they right,
these things I am doing?

With our bodies full of sin,
I thank God for His son.
It's because of him
this fight can be won.
