a very young couple in love leave for europe
Looked out the window and saw the sky was falling,
He grabbed some cash and we were out the door.
Hopped the first plane to anywhere but here,
Across an ocean and through a lifetime.
Found a cathedral; kissed like they did on the silver screen,
This old city taught us to be Bergman and Bogart.
Holding hands, falling in love; telling dreams and wishing on stars,
People stare cause they long be these two beautiful American kids,
So caught up in innocent happiness; I have the eyes and he has the smile.
Drink in the pureness of youth and dance to the haromony of romance,
Show these people that dreams do come true.
It's the chaos that makes us out shine the sun,
And its the laughter that soars us above the clouds.
Don't mind their looks; They're just jealous,
Because they can't have the whole world in the palm of their hands.
Tomorrow we'll be in the papers: Tragic Goodbys and Breaking Hearts,
But we forgot society; We're living for the moment in each others eyes.
It's just two dreaming kids against the the conformity of the world,
But we look into each others eyes and in our hearts we win.
