Love gone wrong.
Amongst crowded streets,
I stare in vain.
Amid signs that lead me astray,
I stare at your name.

What truth keeps me away?
Like the gate keeper,
Who won’t let me in to play?
Was it not your love,
That brought me to my knees in pain?
While praying for forgotten prayers,
I still stare,
Stare at your name.

Should I welcome the shadow,
Holding me down,
Putting weight on my shoulders,
Driving me toward the ground?
For was it not your love,
That left my stomach heaving,
Caused only by thoughts of you?
Carved out and hollowed by pain,
And I still stare,
Stare at your name.

Amongst crowded thoughts,
I stare at you.
Amid pain making living vain,
I stare down crowded streets,
Blood on stone, speaks your name.

As I scream out in pain,
You slowly make your way,
Onto crowded streets,
That bear my name.
And, as I cry out in vain,
I stare at my name.
Blood on stone,
I speak of my own name.
