Wasting away love’s paradise
How much does it take
To come undone?

Selfishly woven a thin string of lies
Desperate to sever the thread
Holding up my sun

Yet, when devoid of truth
I call upon your whispered secrets
Pray for your mystery to sing to me

But how long does it take
And how much can you fake
Before I come undone?

What was it, my love?
For leaving me all alone
Was your empathy black as stone?
Or, are you just that numb?

For when devoid of truth
I sing to you; sing to me
Your whispered secrets sting
Stung to the core of my being
I am undone.
