Some poetry
The Eye

The anguished scream
Rose through the night
And the sightless eye saw
With intense delight
The fallen fairy run for her life
As the dark eye’s minion followed
With an evil grin
The girl now saw with simple fright
That death would be her reward
For one night, one sin
One love that drove the minion mad
One new soul for the eye to have
One more girl
Lost into oblivion
For one night, one sin
That the sightless eye saw.

Elizabeth S. Tyree

As the dead pray

The night darkens with impending doom
As the long dead kneel in their graves
And pray for release
Even those gone for millennia
Are scared by what is coming
What has come
As all they can do is watch
And wait
As the dead pray
