The painful loss of a powerful friendship
I need to go and find the place
Where I can safely hide my face
All I want is to erase
The things I've done to you

Someplace secure where I can find
that what's done wrong gets left behind
It won't get dragged up from the past
As forceful as an atom blast

A place where it is always light
I'd never have another night
Hating what I do and say
Where no one ever goes away

The place I'm seeking seems so far
It's so much more than who we are
It's knowing that I am not meant
to always be incompetent

The door is open, I can go
Before I do, I'd like to know
Just how it is that you'll replace
the girl who always hides her face.
