A couple dancing.
And they danced.

They danced as they had never danced before.
They swooped and twirled and dipped and glided.
They swooshed around the floor like skaters on ice.  Two bodies
locked as one in perfect synchronicity - arns, legs, muscle and sinew
a synecious, graceful beast of daring and poise reveling in the joy of its own
movement.

And as they dance their awareness of time and space begins to fade
leaving only the joy of their toughts and memories.

She is a young woman in the arms of her newlywed husband dancing at the shore
on honeymoon.  He is dancing with his daughter on her wedding day.  She is a
young woman dancing with her beau on their first date.  He is waltzing
a crying child in her nursery on a stormy night.  She is an awkward teen dancing
with an equally awkward teen on her birthday.  He is taking a turn with the young
women he openly declared to love in front of god and everyone.  She is young and
dancing with her classmates at school.  He is in the kitchen of the family home
an awkward teen, arm around his mothers waist, trying to avoid her toes, quaking
and nervous before his first dance.  She is a joyful child of three in a cornflower blue
dress spinning with abandon in the bright sun on a grassy field with Grandpa.  He
is spinning in circles in an open field until he finally drops in a dizzying mass
giggling and laughing as a young boy.

The music stops and there is a round of polite appluse.

"Where did you go?"
"Oh...back to the beginning."
"And you?"
He smiles as the music starts again.
"I love you."
"And I you."

And they danced.
They danced as they had never danced before.
