You don’t know what it is to be me
You Never Knew

You don’t know what it is to be me
All you know is what you want me to be

Dreams you couldn't fulfill
fall to me against my own will

You will never know what it is to be me
you could never understand me

You will never know of the nights
you didn't come home of my fright

You make fun of others because you
don’t see what is true

You always thought it was okay
if it was, I wouldn't be who I am today

You were never home
I learned what it felt to be truly alone

I turned into someone I didn't want to be
But you just couldn't see

When will you know what it is to be me
Of what I feel inside of me

I know things people should never have to learn
I know more I earned

But you couldn't see
to tell me

You weren't there to know
Of the fear I own

When can I leave
Or will I just flee

You never knew
You never wanted to
