This is about wondering when love will come
As I lie here alone
I wait for a love yet unknown
To rescue me from this world of feminist denial
To whisper sweet nothings in my ear and vow to protect and cherish me always
Forsaken all others

Wake up child! Cries out my heart
Refuse to continue to live in the dark
For my prince charming has long come and gone
Revealing to me the dishonesty of fairyland dreams

My heart still holds out even though my spirit is left with doubt
The poison of prince charming left me near dead
But the words of loves hope keep buzzing in my head

Will there ever be a love for me, or am I like Eve
Punished for biting off of the knowledge tree
