A tribute to my Nan that I read at her funeral - in loving memory.
Tell Them For Me
By Clive Lee Welch

Dearest Clive,

Tell them that I’m still alive,
How here in heaven I still thrive.
Again I can climb trees,
And I have full use of my knees!
Yet again I can hear!
There is no reason for you all to fear.

To our children,
Tell them that Dad and I are near
Our pride and love for them will never disappear.
They were there for us in even the darkest hours,
Two demonstrations of love’s true powers.
Oh, and thank them for the lovely flowers.

To our grandchildren and great grandchildren,
To Granddad and I you know how dear you are,
In times of trauma or triumph we won’t be far.
Don’t think of heaven as way up above,
But there beside and inside you spreading love.

Oh, and thank you too for the lovely flowers.

To you all,
I am not gone and to you all I still belong,
If you look for me then find me in a song,
For I am your dance and the joy of your laughter.
And in the eternal now, I shall be here forever after.

Oh, and thank you too for the lovely flowers!

And Clive,
I am pleased you had a hair cut,
You don’t want it too short.

Nan?  Jesus said, “I am the light and the way.  Follow me.”
You did follow him and became the light for us all to see.
I love you and I am so happy that eternally you shall be.
