No one wants to be around sad people. So she acts. For Lynn's contest.
Depths of Deception
By Dana Fridman

She smiles and she laughs
sometimes she dances for a while,
No one has ever seen something
as bright as her smile.

They know she has no secrets,
say, "This girl is perfection."
For her it's just a twisted game,
Endless depths of deception.

When asked for help,
she will never say no
and everyone who looks at her
sees only the glow;

They know she never lies,
never asks for attention;
But she's forever caught
in endless depths of deception.

Who wants to be near
a helpless sad girl
whose little pink bubble
has been burst by the world?

So she laughs and she smiles
even though inside she's lost
because no one likes weakness
and that is the cost.

They think she has no secrets,
enjoy her acts of perfection,
and all the while she is drowning
in depths of deception.
