This is a poem that deals with the pain of knowing a loved one is to soon die.
Just one speck in our eyes
Tells the world the truth
Because beneath our laughs and our smiles
We hold our shame and the morbid knowing of what we are to lose

Shame of that as you lay there
In your small bed
We can only stand around you
As your life holds by a thread

All we can do is watch
We are powerless in every single way
Because as you sit and suffer
We are expected to go about our normal day

Silent tears are falling
As the sands of time come tumbling down
Your clock is slowly stopping
Our hearts break without a sound
