another song for the sirens
The Grey Lady

From across the moors I brought the winds
to whisper my name at your gate
to carry my scent beneath your window
while I stand outside and wait

From the dawn I brought some magick
to distill an ancient spell
to make certain you would love me
and I poured it in your well

From the mountains I brought the mists
to surround your castle on all sides
to cover the traces of my vigil
and give myself a place to hide

From the night I brought the darkness
to shadow the castle and the gate
to give you a peaceful place for dreaming
while I stand outside and wait
