hyme for a lover
Ektasis

In your mirror I am twilight
and the turning of the tide
To your morning I am midnight
with neither innocence nor pride

Bring me sorrow...Bring me silence
Sing me your mournful minstrel's songs
Bring me sweetness...Bring me violence
and your treasure-trove of wrongs

Give me the blood that fills your marrow
and the breath that fills your lungs
Cross the chasm...deep and narrow
and learn to speak to me in tongues

Step into my parlor, I beseech you
as the spider did the fly
There is nowhere now that I can't reach you
There are no walls I won't defy

I am your vices and your virtue
your Savior and your Sin
I will heal and I will hurt you
Cast you out...and take you in.
