A very formal poem. My own version of a sestina.

The white horse gallops swiftly
for pitiless intent has glazed his eyes.
To stand in arms against is a futile cause
with dire consequences at hand.

Too menacing, with a sword in hand
the end is near for those with an unjust cause.
With war his mission, the red horse moves swiftly
for pitiless intent has glazed his eyes.

With scales weighed out, the black horse judges through eyes
too eager to bring destruction.  The end will come swiftly.
Fortunate are the few with a clean hand.
The end is near for those with an unjust cause.

Fourth comes the pale horse, imparted a deathly cause.
With dire consequences at hand
the final soldier is focused, his eyes
too eager to bring destruction.  The end will come swiftly.

With fire illuminating his eyes, he follows the four horsemen. His cause,
to swiftly annihilate the unworthy, sparing not a single hand.
