A short poem about heartache, and love lost.
Forsake me not, my beating heart,
In fearing wild abandon.
For in these precious moments,
My thoughts are never candid.

What causes the heart to flee in fear?
What makes it wall itself inside,
Of the very thing that kills it?
Death, loneliness, hate, and love.

Leave me not my dearest love.
Forget not our promise.
Together forever,
Please, break not our vow.

Oh Heart, it doeth hurt too much,
To watch our love depart.
Love, love hurts the most,
And leaves us broken together.

Oh Heart, My Heart,
My love has left.
What now, oh Heart?
Lonely till Death.

Death together you and I.
To live as one until we die.
Oh Heart, goodnight, the time has come,
To rest where we are no longer alone.
