Self-explanatory, le zappa.
Can it be true?
Are you sure, there isn't some mistake?
Because although I've loved you,
With a love that could fill the Great Lakes,
I do not think this,
Is something I can take.

For so long, I loved you with all.
But you never cared,
And you let me down, you consistently let me fall.
But now I must be impaired,
Or I must have stalled,
Because now you say, our love is shared!

But how can you lov eme now,
But not then?
By the nervous sweat on my brow,
Why am I NOW, different than other men?
While you kept shunning me,
My love for you stayed a perfect ten.

You chose to ignore,
The love of mine,
That was sitting at your door.
Only caring of me,
When others called you a whore,
And NOW you want to be mine?

I still love you, very much so,
But I'm broken and battered,
With pieces of my heart scattered,
Into a sorrowful sea, where they've sank so low,
Making me and my soul split and tattered.

So give me some time my dear,
To this this unexpectedness through.
Because, I admit, I fear,
Whether or not you,
Are being sincere,
Whether or not you're being true.
