A poem inspired by the memory of my grandmother.
I see your crinkled eyes
In the eye of my mind

I smell your perfume
While pondering your existence

I hear your sweet chuckle
In the distance of time

Oh, the feeling of woe
The agony of my heart

I feel your radiant hug
Right before I wake

I sense your presence
When your comfort I crave

I imagine our encounter
When reunited in time

Oh, the feeling of woe
The agony of my heart

I see your beauty
In the faces of my children

I smell your scent
When memories invade my mind

I hear your words
As now they are mine

Oh, you are with me
Until again we meet
