Admiring of one of God's smallest but most beautiful creations. The butterfly
Butterfly, butterfly
so precious, so small
lighter than the breathe of life
created most beautiful of all

So colourful and symmetrical
no human art can imitate
He predetermined your path
and ordained your inescapable fate

Butterfly, butterfly
so feeble, so light
in size so slight
why thus blessed with flight?

Where do you go
to keep from hurt
when in guise of snow
the heavens fall to the earth?

Fly up high
He gave you life
for many a reason
swoop down low

To fill the world with beauty
in the proper season
or remove it too
to restore its value
