A poem title "Voices"
I’m sitting here, pacing in my mind
Can’t get these voices out of my head
No matter how hard I try.

My thoughts have begun to bleed out
Scores of scenes that I can’t reach around
How can I slow this all down?

Now I sit here breathing out these voices
And in the chaos I make irreversible choices
I feel I’ve lost total control.

I was born with these voices that inhabit my soul
They can sometimes be serene
But they can sometimes be cold.

I’ve got nothing left but this pain that resides
Within my heart and within my mind
Take my hand and come inside.

Breathe my words and feel my cries
Maybe if you hear these voices too
You can help me survive.
