This is, sad to say, an everyday occurance.
Every night she lays awake
Praying the lord her soul to take
She pulls the blankets up over her head
She hopes it won't happen again
When she cries to herself in the dark
Who will dry her tears
When she's all alone even at home
Who will ease her fears
But no one's there and she's so scared

He's the man of her destruction
Sent to rid her from this world
He's the man of her undoing
So watch out little girl

It happens all the time
It's hardly even a crime
But I guess this is the way things must be
Like always
With my daddy and me.
