She never was his fairytale...
Remiscence

She was his perfection, with her
Velvet words; that she might
Break beneath his finger tips.
She giggled at the fool, she
Played his game. Until she grew
Weary, and found another.
Children will be children.

She let him hold her
Hand, feigned ignorance, laughed
Delightedly at his words, and
He, the real one, was
Too entranced to say no.

Years have passed, now, he cannot
Remember a thing. Like the rejected
Wedding vows, he swore never to
Smile again again. Perhaps chivalry could
Win her back.
She never was the naïve one.
They killed her, he cursed, they
Destroyed her. But, fool that he
Was, he was wrong.
She did that all by herself.
