This ia a little poem about my real "father" and my Dad.
What is a father?
I wondered today
As I watch you
Turn and walk away

I look to my left
after you are gone.
And I see a man
sitting on a throne.

No. He is not you
For he really cares
And I know when i need him
He will always be there

Here we go, another phone call from you
Yes I'm fiine, not much to say
Hang up the phone and tears run down my face
Wishing you'd never have called today

I look to my left
He sits in a rocking chair
That man that really loves me
And will always be there

Growing up and making my mistakes
Being hard-headed and taking my own path
Learning the truth about you and who you are
Learning about hatred and rath

Learing about love in it's purest form
Learning about the man I call "Dad"
The who who was always there
The one who never made me sad

No. He is not you, you just gave me life
This man gave me food, shelter, and love
This man bent over backwards for me
This man was a blessing from above

I never really knew you
You never really cared
But I always had the love
Of the man who was always there
